PETALING JAYA: Newly-crowned African Nations Cup winners Ivory Coast are coming to Malaysia next month.
The other good news is that English Premier League giants Liverpool may also be here in July.
“If all goes according to plan, the national team will be playing against these high-profile teams,” said Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah after chairing the exco meeting at Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya.
“We are making the necessary arrangements and hope to confirm the dates in a couple of days’ time,” he added.
National coach Dollah Salleh is certainly looking forward to see his team play Ivory Coast in the “A” international on March 28.
“Looking at the team list which was faxed to us, the Ivory Coast side are coming with the full team, including their star players,” said Dollah.
The Elephants, skippered by Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, pipped Ghana 9-8 on penalties in the African Nations Cup final after a goalless draw in Equatorial Guinea last week.
kalau nak naik ranking aku rasa kalau menang dengan brazil pun ranking tak naik banyak itupun kalau menang la
sebab faktanya adalah ini game persahabatan, not an actual competition. game persahabatan diadakan sebagai practice match sebab tu sub boleh sampai 9 ketul - in fact, kalau nak tukar 11 pemain terus pun boleh
anyway, point aku kalau nak tengok mesia naik FIFA world ranking main 365 perlawanan persahabatan bukanlah caranya.
nak naik ranking betul betul then perform dalam betul betul punye FIFA competition. Asia Cup, World Cup every win dalam competition ni counts kalau win, kompem naik ranking
lawan team yang power bagi point dekat kita... walaupun xyah selalu main tapi point tetap point (kalau bernasib baik menang)... kalau nak persahabatan (lawan kelab2 bola) baik jangan guna team harimau malaya... waktu persahabatan la kita boleh main dengan team power... takkan nak tunggu sampai world cup, piala asia (ntah bila baru dapat masuk)...
